Looking to the Future

In between a bout with shingles and a nasty, bronchial something or other, Craig has grown more than tired of the Bosworth Hotel, limited food choices and listening to me grumble about immigration paperwork, lease details (ok, the simple act of scanning a 20-page lease put me over the edge) and all the house cleaning chores I’ve managed to put off until the 29th hour (I wonder where that phrase came from)??  I’m not sure if he drove to Ashby-de-la-Zouch in an attempt to regain some of his sanity or to get me to refocus on the prize but bless his heart…he took a few pictures and scanned them to me over Skype (my new love)!   Let’s take a walk through our neighborhood…..!

Here is our apartment building.  There is a high end salon on the ground level (not sure I can afford it but how convenient).  We are on the second floor – first floor on the European floor numbering system – and if my memory serves me we have the four windows on the right side of the building.

Here is a shot of Main Street…and yes, we have a real castle a few blocks from the apartment.

And what Main Street is complete without an open market?  There are vendor stalls running from front to back of the building.  Fresh fruits and veggies…everyday!!

And last but not least…here is the church right around the corner.

The adventure starts in just a few weeks…more to follow…I promise!!

  1. Well, it’s not beer and skittles to begin with – all that hard work before your settled… but you know it’s going to be a great adventure and worth it in the end. Looks like a great neighbourhood to explore. Hang in there and enjoy….
    Love,
